Philanthropist Judith Neilson envisioned a space in which architecture and interior design as well as the visual and performing arts would each enhance and embrace the other for an immersive total experience - a 'gesamtkunstwerk', or 'total work of art'. And so it is!

We worked with Phoenix to devise the online presence from the start. As it first 'took flight' just as the pandemic and ensuing lockdowns became a part of life here in Sydney, our key challenge initially was to create an online entity that was both reflective and supportive of the ethos - even as the doors remianed closed to in-real-life vistors. Selected artists were invited in to the space to create one of a kind art-movies responding to the unique spaces - Phoenix playing collaborator more than back drop.

We worked with the team to craft the design language and right framework and then, as the lockdowns lifted shifted focus to create a two way utility - connecting Phoenix, artists and audience. 

The Phoenix really is such a special part of the Sydney landscape - we so pleased to maintain an ongoing relationship - always always on the up and up!
